Soft Play Multi Sensory Area
Castle Hill School is a state-of-the-art school for children with severe and profound learning disabilities. Their design brief for Angus Firth Design was to develop a user friendly special needs multi sensory area, suitable for children with a range of impairments, accessible by wheelchairs, have clear visibility into all areas and offer easy access for carers in the event of an emergency.
The result was a two level soft play area with the ground level filled with state of the art interactive sensory sound/ light equipment and the upper level a fully enclosed soft play assault course and slide.
The equipment included a variety of interactive sound/lighting panels, wirelessly controlled colour/shape projectors and fibre optics plus UV caves with glowing tactile panels and star ceilings.
